My first medal!!! - 14.70 OH PR Average - 2nd at Wiltshire Spring 2026

After 9 other comps, 3 years of competing, 4 years as an OH nerd, and over 5 years as a cuber, I finally, finally got my first podium! I'll be so honest, I was kind of neutral on whether or not I wanted a podium at this comp, because of the NR SOR thing for people without podiums, but by god did this make me feel so good, and I am so so happy I got it, especially considering how tired I was in the round before and during the round, so this was the energy boost I needed to throw 3x3 finals lol. It's been a few days and I very much am not over this result in the slightest, it's going to take at least a week for me to wrap my head around this. I am, honestly, quite shocked I even podiummed, let alone 2nd to MONTY FOX HELLO WHAT??? I remember being 6th or 8th or 7th on psych sheet and just thinking "that would be funny" - oh my sweet summer child, how your dreams would manifest. I'm also so happy that my first podium isn't clock because clock is stinky and I also haven't practised clock seriously since October lol. Thank you to everyone who has helped me in OH/cubing in general over the years, I'm sorry I don't know everyone and everyone who has helped, but thank you all ❤️ Congrats again to Jacob and Monty for also podiumming, sharing a podium with 2 cubing legends is absolutely surreal.
