Dr. Ionut Alexandru Tudorie, session chair, gives an overview of session 41, "Dumitru Staniloae," presented by the Romanian Orthodoxy Group at the IOTA Inaugural Conference, Iasi, Romania, 9-12 January 2019. Dumitru Staniloae is widely regarded as the most important Romanian Orthodox theologian and among the greatest thinkers of the twentieth century. This session focused on several aspects of his thought that are relevant to the life of the Orthodox Church and to theological thinking today. These topics range from his patristic studies, to his dialogue with the Catholic and Protestant churches, to trinitarian theology and angelology, to the value of the material world. www.iota-web.org
