The Pianist might have been the greatest survival story I have ever seen. The will to live and the perseverance of the human spirit is what drove Wladek Szpilman to survive. Adrien Brody’s was Oscar winning performance was well worth his effort. His acting was on another level. The direction by Roman Polanski was almost flawlessly executed along with the writing and the production end. This film will stay with me for a long, long time and just like Schindler’s List, I don’t think I can watch it again for quite some time.
