The DUMBEST Move of Bud Adams' CAREER | 1974 Oilers

In the 1974 offseason, Houston Oilers owner Bud Adams wrote a letter to the city of Houston, partly to try and drum up interest for the NFL's Oilers, and partly to dissuade people from rooting for the Houston Texans in the World Football League (WFL). This letter was so bad that it failed in spectacular fashion and accomplished none of the goals that Adams set out. This is the story behind what might somehow be the dumbest move of Bud Adams' career NOTE: The NFL, despite being a multi-billion dollar organization with tons of lawyers and legal experts, has no concept of what fair use actually is. Because of this, two 10-second portions of this video, despite completely complying with the four fair use factors, had to be trimmed out at the 1:50 mark and the 7:30 mark due to copyright reasons. This transformative footage featured a clip of a Raiders touchdown, and a clip of the Astrodome roof, which in no way whatsoever impacts the potential market.
