I thought at first I could use a battery adapter to just plug in a Dewalt/Makita/Milwaukee but that's a no go with the 40volts the stock batteries supply. It welded way better than I thought it would and there are countless times I could have used this. I will build a box that allows me to just slide those auxiliary batteries in; streamlining the process. NOTE: Do NOT use Ryobi or Ridgid batteries as they pass their current through a transistor. This will fry your batteries(don't ask how I know). Normal batteries pass the current straight from the cells themselves. Also never use a single row pack(typically 1.5-2.0ah and thin) as there is too much draw for single row of cells to handle. 21700 cell packs are best.
