To operate, simply open the upper and lower doors and create a flat surface on the floor of the baler with a piece of cardboard. Close the lower door and fill the bale chamber with cardboard. Do NOT offload the material into the baler! Be sure to spread out the cardboard evenly from side to side and front to back of the chamber. Close the top loading door and turn the 3-position switch to the “Auto” setting. To start the baling process, press and hold the “Down” button for 3 seconds. When the bale marker on the side of the machine indicates that the unit is full, put the switch in the “Hand” position and raise the platen far enough to lay a piece of cardboard on the top of the bale. Close the loading door, turn the key to “Auto”, and lower the platen. When the platen stops going down, shut off the baler. Open the unloading door. Use the clean out rod to remove any loose debris from the wire tying slots. Put the baling wire in from the front and guide the wire through the channels in the rear of the baler. Tie the wire through the provided loops and twist until tight. Push a pallet jack or the optional Harmony Lift Cart in front of the baler. Harmony Lift Carts provide a safe and convenient way to eject and transport your cardboard bales in any location. Stand clear from the front of the baler and make sure the upper and lower doors are completely open. Use the manual eject lever system to eject the bale onto a palette. When providing maintenance for your baler, always be sure to follow lock-out/tag-out procedures as outlined in the operations manual.
