Let it Die - V2 Jackals (No Five Star Decals)

A video that should never have been made, lol. I only made this video because I didn't have any V2 Jackal videos to share on the discord. This is the equipment I used when I farmed them originally, including the Spinmaster decal. I did have some five stars by this time, but I left them off to make the video more accessible to new players. Note that the Hard Target set and Brutal Yoyo are only available from Hernia until they cycle back into Lost Bags. I also shot this video on my Collector so I didn't kill them too quickly. You should use Attacker to farm Jackals (you can use All Rounder or Striker, too, but I personally don't advise it). Regardless, I originally chose this setup because I could go up with all the equipment I needed for fighting them, and was great practice for fighting X with the welding gun/yoyo. I also happened to have Spinmaster, Hard Target, and the Yoyo, so why not. Doing it this way on V2s, when the stakes are pretty low, was a huge boost to my confidence when I eventually moved onto V3s, as the best method to kill v3/v4 Jackal X is using the Jackal Yoyo. There are many ways to farm V2s, this is probably by no means the most efficient, but I think it had its advantages. The first part of the video is the ideal scenario: one Jackal at a time, on the best tile in the game for Jackal Fighting. Not much explanation necessary here. For the second part, I wanted to show a couple things. One, this is the worst tile in the game for fighting Jackals I think. Its cramped, there is very little cover, and there are multiple choke points where the Jackals can trap you if you aren't careful. Second, I specifically let two and then all three spawn to show as best as I could how to manage multiple Jackals. These two combined comprise the worst case scenario I could demonstrate. A couple more notes there. On V4, and to a lesser extent V3, I would have been toast when Jackal X catches me after I run out of stamina. There is usually no surviving that combo. I also would have died from all the shots Y managed to get in. This therefore shows probably the most important note on farming the Jackals: if you aren't 100% confident you can handle it, you shouldn't fight more than one at a time. The large square MILK tile I showed at the beginning is a much better tile for keeping them separated, but in my opinion you need to be prepared to accept mistakes due to the added pressure. To reiterate, if you aren't sure about your capabilities, move on to the next floor when you get multiple Jackals up. Its usually not worth the risk - until you get gud that is. Finally, the techniques I tried to use here, while by no means god tier gaming, I hope made a decent demonstration. With more than 1 Jackal up, the name of the game is to *keep them separated*. Stay light on your feet, and avoid attacks with long end-lag in case the other Jackal is sneaking up on you. Between X and Z, I don't prioritize either and just work down whichever one I can keep separated the longest. Often they will have teleport timers that aren't perfectly spread out, so just use your judgement and make sure you always give yourself plenty of space to run away. If Y is ever up, he is my #1 priority. Losing Serial Killer is a real pain, and on V4s that alone will scrap the attempt and I'll move on to the next floor.
