While my journey fits well in “Obujulizi”;the song made more sense while I listened to the demo with a dear friend. She recounted the story of a family from her home village—struggling neighbors who were ensnared in poverty. The father, mother, and their children lived in a desolate state, taking on casual labor just to survive. Their home, was a symbol of sorrow, suffering and hopelessness. Then, the story takes a remarkable turn. The family's three daughters, once burdened by their circumstances, eventually got married into prosperous families that brought fortune back to their roots. The very ground where their dilapidated home stood became the foundation of their palatial home now ; a symbol of their rise from rags to riches. Now, some of the children of those who once employed the family as casual laborers, humbly serve them—a true testament to the saying, “When God shows up, He shows off.” This song is a celebration of that divine intervention, and I invite you all to testify to the wonders of God and give Him the glory. "Obujulizi" speaks directly to anyone who has ever been mocked, disrespected, or written off. This is your song—your anthem of hope and victory. As it is written in 2 Corinthians 3:18 (NIV): “And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.” And let us not forget the promise found in 1 Corinthians 2:9 (NIV): “However, as it is written: ‘What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived’—the things God has prepared for those who love him.” Join me as we celebrate the journey of transformation and the boundless blessings that await us.
