I lifted my 75ton rotator with my 50ton rotator! I have been wanting to do this video for a very very long time and finally got the chance to not only lift my 60ton rotator, but my 75ton as well! Big Flipper is an absolute powerhouse of a truck, weighing in at 74,000lbs as she sits. I daily drive Hulk, a 2020 Miller 50ton rotator, and always seem to tackle my crazy jobs with ease. I thought, how much can I really lift, but off the side? This video goes in depth on numbers, rigging and some complicated stuff simplified down so everyone can follow along. I actually lifted Big Flipper first, but had horrible audio issues. A few days later, I lifted my dad's 60ton rotator. Both trucks were lifted with the same process and rigging. The only difference is Big Flipper weights considerably more, approximately 12,000 - 14,000lbs more! Keep in mind that Hulk weighs just over 60,000lbs too! Almost all of the weight is towards the front when attempting this lift, because that is my center of gravity here. That is why I had to 4-part my lines with extra snatch blocks up front, so I would be within a safe working load limit on all the rigging equipment, including my winch lines. Here is the kicker: the truck itself is not rated to lift this much weight off the side. This is purely an exhibition and ego lift. I wasn't even too sure if Hulk would be able to pull this off, but with the way I rigged it and setup my platform, it came up so nice. In fact, I'm sure I could have pushed a few thousand more pounds out of Hulk! These rotators are such technical and amazing pieces of equipment, and when operated correctly, can do so much, from clearing complex wrecks on the freeways to heavy lifting for the public and private sector. I continue to push myself week in and week out to learn more and gain more experience, and I used all that knowledge and experience to perform this lift. I have NEVER seen a Miller 50ton (1150) rotator lift anywhere close to this off the side before. Can't find it on Google or any social media, so is this a world record?
