https://vi.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cao_tr%... Footage Background: In 1996, a French explorer goes deep into the jungles of North Vietnam a finds an abandoned bunker, untouched for decades. He finds Japanese Army equipment and newsreel footage of the troops in Indochina. He collects his findings and leaves. While trying to head home, he gets caught in a devastating storm that drives him to seek the nearest shelter, where he finds an abandoned tunnel on the side of a mountain. he curiosity drives him to dig deeper until he finds a old room with rotting leather and wood. He luckily had a flashlight big enough to see the large Viet Minh flag straddled on top of a bunk bed. He looks around and digs through the desk, and eureka, lost footage! Perhaps it was meant to be played in propaganda theaters in North Vietnam, but the dangers of the jungle obscured its rightful place in history. The explorer stays there for the night and ventures out of the tunnel the next day, driven by thoughts of ghostly aberrations following him upon this discovery. He flies out of Vietnam with the thought that it's time to stitch the footage together and make something out of it! Taking longer than I should have, I finally finished this ambitious piece. One day I was at work and I wondering what it would be like to have the Viet Minh and Japanese fight visually? Sgt Joe's cosmetic DLC included PLA hats and Japanese helmets to remind us that the communist Vietnamese had a long battle ranging from 1944 to 1979 when they finally stopped having to fight people in large numbers. To my surprise, there were little to no sort of media showing Japanese troops fighting Communist Viet Minh guerillas, so I thought what better way to do it then show it through video game models in a virtual battlefield? Rising Storm 1 and 2 already have North Vietnamese guerillas and Imperial Japanese troops, so I decided to make it happen. With the little knowledge of an obscure topic, I tried my best to portray some visual medium of what would it look like with the two World War II combatants fighting each other in a Indochinese jungle. From what I learned it was only for a couple of months before Ho Chi Minh made his declaration speech in the last month of the war. The Viet Minh armed with a wide selection of weaponry including the: Chiang-kai Shek Rifle (Kar98k), Mosin Ngant, m1 carbine, BAR, M1 Garand, colt 45, m1917 revolver, Browning Hi-powered pistol, Thompson SMG, Mas 36, MAS 38, Type 100, Arisaka Type 98, M1 Recoiless Rifle, Bazooka, m1919, DP machine gun, BAR, Springfield, Type 67 Grenade, resist the Japanese forces controlling through a last minute puppet regime under Bao Dai. I am also sure Laos and Cambodia had guerillas fighting alongside the Viet Minh, but there is barely any info about them available here.
