Odisha burn case shocker: 15-year-old girl to be airlifted to AIIMS Delhi

In a disturbing case from Odisha’s Puri district, a 15-year-old girl who sustained critical burn injuries after being allegedly set ablaze by three unidentified attackers will be airlifted to AIIMS New Delhi for advanced treatment. The incident occurred on July 19 in the Balanga area, where she was reportedly attacked while going to meet a friend. The girl was first admitted to Pipili CHC, then shifted to AIIMS Bhubaneswar due to her severe condition. As per AIIMS Bhubaneswar Director Prof. Ashutosh Biswas, her vitals have stabilised but her injuries remain grave—warranting expert care in the capital. Odisha Police have launched an investigation to nab the culprits.
