Yes — today’s journey is on that very bus! It’s KSRTC’s new AC seater bus, which currently operates as the last service to Kozhikode. Before this new bus was introduced, the Swift Garuda AC Seater was the one running on this route. The bus departs from Bangalore Satellite Bus Stand at 11:40 PM, and travels via Mysuru, Gundlupet, Sultan Bathery, Kalpetta, Thamarassery, and Kunnamangalam, finally reaching the Kozhikode KSRTC Bus Stand. Since there’s no night forest pass, the bus halts at the Bandipur Forest check-post during the night and resumes the journey around 6:00 AM when the gate opens. As the journey continues through the Thamarassery Ghat during daytime, it offers some truly beautiful scenic views. And since this is a new KSRTC bus, you can also enjoy a comfortable sleep in the cool AC throughout the night.
