IJsselstein to Nieuwegein by bike [Full-length]

In this video I ride my bike from IJsselstein to Nieuwegein. Both are smaller towns in the Netherlands. While IJsselstein has a long history and a historical center with canals, Nieuwegein was mostly built in the '70s as a new town. We start in the historical center of IJsselstein, and pass through one of the old city gates and over a bridge to exit. I make a quick detour through the Nederlandlaan (yes, they named that street after the country it is in), because it was recently redesigned. Eventually we exit the built-up area of IJsselstein and follow the old river for a while. This route is not the fastest way to get to the center of Nieuwegein, but I quite like the varied '70s architecture and windy roads of the residential area that we pass through. At the end of the video, there is a long bicycle tunnel under some roads, before ending abruptly in a parking garage. I park my bike in one of the racks next to the market square.
