You can travel there by taking a train from Glasgow and then a ferry. The ferry takes about 3 hours. In Glasgow Buchanan station you can buy the dual ticket, the ticket has both the cost of train and ferry. Buy the return ticket as that will be cheaper than one side. Once you reach there will be buses and you can buy a single day ticket. Using that you can roam around the island. If you have a car then that's the best option. There is also a beach in the island and Lochranza castle. The other parts to visit are: 1. Arran distillery 2. Meat shop, they have good quality of deer meat. This shop is in the south of the island 3. Blackwaterfront 4. Beach and souvenir shop If you are a nature lover then this the place for you. Its a beautiful island.
