Do you feel tired even after getting 8 hours of sleep every day? Do you get exhausted and irritated when you have to do extra work during the day? Do you feel lazy when it comes to focusing on your work, generating new ideas, meeting new people, or even going to work every day? If yes, then this video is for you. In this video, I will be discussing some of the things from Dr. Saundra Dalton Smith's book "Sacred Rest," which can help you improve your productivity, keep your mind sharp, fresh and creative, and improve your social and intrapersonal relationships. Let's explore each type of rest one by one, and see how they can improve your physical and mental productivity, and make you more focused and energetic. The first type of rest is Physical Rest. This is the rest you are familiar with. Every day, you need at least 8 hours of sleep. When you sleep, your muscles relax, and they get time to repair themselves. This also gives your brain time to reset. Physical rest has two types: Passive rest, such as sleeping or taking naps in the afternoon. Active rest, such as massaging or stretching. You cannot function properly without physical rest. Therefore, it is necessary to create a proper sleep routine. You should go to bed at a specific time and wake up at a set time. You should avoid blue screens such as phones, laptops, or TVs before sleeping and do not drink coffee 8 hours before sleeping. We have 100 thoughts running parallel in our minds. Sometimes, we have so many things to do that we don't know where to start. Deadlines, pursuing hobbies, business stress, future planning, embarrassing memories of the past, and negativity on social media... all of these things can mentally exhaust you and kill your creativity. Therefore, it is essential to take mental rest. To take mental rest, start writing things down. If you have 75 tasks to do, make a list of them all. Then, choose the smallest and easiest task and complete it immediately. This way, your overwhelm will decrease. Take some time out of your day to shut down yourself. During this time, you can go for a walk, listen to music, or meditate. Taking this little time out will make you more creative and reduce your overwhelm. The third type of rest is Social Rest. We all have negative people in our lives with whom we feel uncomfortable sitting for even 15 minutes. These people can be negative, critical, or even our bosses with whom we are not comfortable. The people around us affect our success, happiness, and health. If all of your friends smoke, chances are you will smoke too. If all your friends sit on Twitter and criticize others and complain about the world, you will do the same. On the other hand, there are some people whose company increases our energy. Sitting with them makes us more motivated. These people encourage our dreams and emotionally support us. Make a list of all the people with whom you feel uncomfortable and avoid them as much as possible. Only meet them as much as you need to. Also, make a list of people with whom you feel comfortable and whose company increases your energy. Spend more time with them. In this video, I have discussed 7 types of rest.
