In this video I will show you what Redwing, Turdus iliacus, likes to eat in winter, tell you about their migration from Scandinavia to UK and what effect harsh weather has on their behaviour. The distinctive Redwing flight call can also be heard in this video as they migrate at night. Redwing is Britain's smallest thrush, spending the winter in the country in flocks, searching the countryside for food to survive the winter and to become strong enough to make the return migration.
