Witchcraft was always a cottage industry, so the tools that were used were those that people had in their homes, the broom, the candle, and in this case, Mirrors. So I want to make a new series detailing these tools and telling you all about their history, their use, the superstitions and traditions associated with them as well as lots and lots of spells for you to try. The good news is that you will most probably have these tools already, no money needs to be spent (as I am extremely tight fisted I particularly like this aspect!) and Beginner witches or baby witches can get away without anyone suspecting that they practice the craft as who will complain about a mirror? And as for the the Budget Conscious witch look at for the next instalment in this series. Mirrors were only used in the UK magical traditions in later times, as they were incredible expensive, however the same magick could be achieved with bowls of water and other reflective surfaces, so they would have been common enough. Remember to charge your mirror by leaving it in the light of the full moon for a night and you will then have a powerful tool for witchcraft .
