2021 Peugeot 3008 review: We check out the midsize SUV range to see if it compares to a VW Tiguan!

The Peugeot 3008 is one of the cars that really should sell better than it does. This is a midsize SUV that competes, loosely, with the likes of the Mazda CX-5, Toyota RAV4 and Volkswagen Tiguan. But on price - in Australia at least - it's a premium player, and that could be why it hasn't been as successful as the packaging, drive experience and technology on board suggest it should. The range starts at about forty-five grand, and no model available at the moment is all-wheel drive, nor hybrid. So you have the choice of petrol turbo engines (two of those) and a turbo diesel. A plug-in hybrid PHEV model (or maybe two) will arrive later in 2021 in Australia, and it may - finally! - bring AWD to the equation as well.
