Amtrak Delivers MARC Coaches To SEPTA. During the early morning hours of Saturday, December 6, 2025, Amtrak Train 8910 delivered 10 MARC IIA/IIB cars (Sumitomo/​Nippon Sharyo) to SEPTA at 30th Street Station in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This is the second time that SEPTA has leased cars from MARC. The first time was to substitute for Silverliner Vs due to mechanical and structural issues; this time, it is for the Silverliner IVs. The cars were brought from Washington DC, to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, by Amtrak Train 8910, where ACS-64 Amtrak 625 was replaced by ACS-64 SPAX 915, and then transported to SEPTA's Frazier Yard for inspection before entering service. SEPTA's 15 ACS-64 will see a significant increase in their workload in the coming months as they will now have these MARC cars, SEPTA's 45 Bombardier cars, and 20 more Bombardier cars arriving soon from Montreal to use in service.
