BOLERO OF FIRE // Ocarina of Time / Epic Symphonic Orchestral Arrangement

This is an arrangement for full Orchestra of the Bolero Of Fire from The Legend of Zelda - Ocarina of Time, original music by Koji Kondo. The melody is only a simple eight-note melody consisting of three different notes, but I decided to develop the thematic material in not just the Ocarina melody, but also the short development of the tune that follows afterwards, and, inspired in part by Maurice Ravel's famous Bolero, slowly built on the intensity as the piece progresses, with a soft central passage where Sheik's Theme is treated to a more lyrical, flowing nature while the rhythm of the Bolero remains in the background. This piece I initially arranged for Piano, but felt it would sound fantastic as an orchestral piece too! Video game music is becoming more and more popular. The rise of Videogame music concerts is in increasing demand. Electronic videogame soundtracks made as a remix or orchestral arrangement are fast growing and now amassing huge followings on YouTube. Iconic soundtracks like Super Mario, Final Fantasy and The Legend of Zelda are some of the most loved and listened to, especially when a musician takes a theme or track and arranges it for other instruments, turns it into an electronic remix or orchestrates it for a full orchestra, all with their own ideas in mind, giving the music a new lease of life, uplifting, relaxing, invigorating and entertaining the listeners, something you would hear on Classic FM. A soundtrack from a Videogame could be turned into a symphonic journey, a waltz, a medley or whatever the artist can create.
