Radio-Play Comics - Before Watchmen: Nite Owl

Nite Owl's series begins with a young Dan Dreiberg's home life, and his first connection to his hero Nite Owl when he tracks Hollis Mason back to his Owl Cave and offers to help him avoid being discovered again. Hollis takes the boy under his wing and teaches Dan the trade of being a detective and a hero, and Dan takes over for Hollis when he retires. Shortly after his public debut, Dan is approached by Rorschach and offered his partnership, and most of the story will concern the two of them working together, and the events that nearly ended that partnership, when they encounter a character briefly seen in a photograph in watchmen, the Twilight Lady. Dan will work with the mysterious woman to help track down a string of missing girls the police don't care about, due to their chosen profession as ladies of the night. Rorschach wants no part of her world, though, and we'll see his life apart from Nite Owl as well, as Walter helps out at a local church and finds out that godliness may not be next to innocence, as he might have hoped. Along the way we'll examine formative events in both of their lives through memories, and see what truly drives these heroes to be what they are. All characters copyright DC Comics.
