While various styles of the popular Adidas Ultra Boost have been unveiled, the shoes with blacked-out midsoles are still hard to find. Our team has put together a tutorial demonstrating how you can make your own blacked-out look needing only a few items and our step by step instructions. Items Needed: 1. Angelus deglazer 2. Angelus jet black leather dye 3. Angelus flat black paint 4. Cotton balls/white rag 5. Two medium sized fine paintbrushes Step 1 - Deglazer, use a cotton ball or a white rag. Rub gently against midsole until you see the gloss upon your midsole become dull matte white. Don't use too much Deglazer and do not rub to hard or else it will eat away at your sole. Let dry for 5 minutes then proceeded to the next step. Step 2 - Black leather ink dye, simply apply with a fine paint brush until the surface of your midsoles are completely black. To ensure a better turnout, apply 2 coats. Let the first coat dry for 10 minutes, then apply 2nd coat. Then continue to the next step. (Apply masking tape to cover any surfaces that you don't want painted over.) Step 3 - Flat black acrylic paint, apply 2 coats with a fine paint brush. Wait 10 minutes after each coat is applied. (To add a semi gloss add "Matte acrylic finisher" after second coat is applied.) Let the paint set for 24 hours before you wear.
