It's the same step that police took to unravel a series of murders in California and the fatal stabbings of four college students in Idaho. The strategy could pay off: If unknown DNA evidence can be connected to someone in a genealogy database, it could lead investigators to a suspect in Guthrie’s apparent kidnapping in Arizona. A law enforcement database didn't turn up any matches to DNA found in gloves a few miles from Guthrie's home. In the meantime, area residents say they are on edge and the memorial outside Guthrie’s home continues to grow. Guthrie, the mother of NBC “Today” co-anchor Savannah Guthrie, has been missing from her home since Feb. 1. Alan Aleamoni and his daughter Ariana stopped by Sunday to drop off flowers and show support for the family.
