Hello and welcome to the aerial footage of a large flood in region Thessaly, Greece. Storm Daniel hit Greece in early September. After the rain stopped, the water began to descend from the mountain ranges around the Thessaly valley. Because of this, the Pinios and other rivers overflowed and began to flood fields, villages and cities. On September 7, water began to cover the city of Larissa. Within two days, water entered all the northern, western, and eastern suburbs of the city, paralyzing roads and dividing Greece into north and south. The national highway north of Larissa is flooded.
