A high school internship at a hair salon ignited his passion for cutting hair, and over the years, this passion evolved into a vision for creating a barbershop that embraced tradition and individuality. In 2011, Schorem Haarsnijder en Barbier opened its doors in Rotterdam, quickly earning a reputation for its dedication to classic men’s hairstyles and craftsmanship. The Story Behind Rob's First Tattoo Rob was young when he got his first tattoo—a cancer symbol—done by tattoo artist Rinto. This tattoo marked the beginning of his journey into the tattoo world, driven by his punk rock influences and desire for self-expression. Although it didn't hold deep personal meaning at the time, it was the first step in what would become a lifelong connection with tattoo culture. Tattoos: A Lifetime of Ink Rob's body is a canvas covered in tattoos, but he openly states that none of them carry deep personal meaning. Over the years, he received many tattoos for free, often from befriended tattoo artists who admired his work. Face Tattoos: Bold Choices and Cultural Shifts Face tattoos, once regarded as extreme rebellion, are becoming increasingly normalized. Rob shares his thoughts on this evolution, noting how tattoos like his own razor blade face ink serve as a form of artistic self-expression rather than a symbolic statement. He discusses the rising acceptance of face tattoos and how they have shifted perceptions in modern culture. Schorem: A Barbershop with Global Influence Founded in 2010, Schorem Haarsnijder en Barbier is celebrated worldwide for its old-school approach to barbering and unapologetically masculine aesthetic. Located in the heart of Rotterdam, the shop specializes in timeless men’s hairstyles. Rob explains how Schorem’s commitment to authenticity and craftsmanship has inspired barbershops across the globe. Sobriety, Veganism, and a New Chapter After years of embracing a rock-and-roll lifestyle, Rob turned to sobriety and a vegan diet. He reflects on how these changes have given him clarity, improved his well-being, and marked the beginning of a healthier and more balanced chapter in his life. Fans and Face Tattoos: A Unique Connection What happens when fans get tattoos of your face? Rob recounts surreal experiences with admirers who’ve immortalized him in ink—on their hands, arms, and even more unconventional places. He shares a perspective on this unusual honor, balancing humor and humility in his reflections. 🔔 Don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe for more inspiring stories and insights from creators around the world! #Schorem #BarberLife #PunkRockInfluence #BertusInterview #TattooCulture #SobrietyJourney #ReuzelPomade #TattooArt #TattooLife #Tattooed #TattooInspiration #TattooCommunity #TattooArtist #InkedUp #InkedLife #TattooDesigns #TattooStudio #TattooAddicts #TattooLove #TattooedPeople #BodyArt #TattooCulture #TattooGoals #FaceTattoo #TattooStories #InkedCulture #TattooPhotography #TattooPortraits #TattooedLife #TattooJourney #BarberLife #BarberCulture #BarberShop #Barbering #BarberArtist #BarberStyle #BarberTattoo #BarberLifeStyle #BarberingArt #TattooedBarber #bloodybutcher #Reuzel
