Lizard King are: Roberto Deganello: lead vocals Matteo Baggio: organs & backing vocals Brian Danieli: guitars Morgan Marodin: bass guitar Michael Sandonà: drums & percussions We come from northern Italy, Vicenza. We have been playing as a tribute to the Doors since 1992 with some break period over the years. We love the Doors but we don't want to imitate them. We don't like to see other bands imitate them by copying clothes as well. What interests us is to restore the soul, the essence, the sadness, the depth, the irony of "The Doors as a band" not of The Doors as a "Jim Morrison group" where Jim was the spearhead that has knew how to shine and become precious thanks to Ray, John and Robby. We want to excite the listener, transport the listener to that era, into the magic that the Doors were able to create. Not The Doors of clamor but The Doors of poetry, art, experimentation. Don't imitate them but thank them. Veniamo dal nord Italia, Vicenza. Suoniamo come tributo ai Doors dal 1992 con qualche periodo di break negli anni. Amiamo i Doors ma non vogliamo imitarli. Non ci piace vedere altre band imitarli copiando anche i vestiti. Quello che ci interessa e restituire l’anima, l’essenza, la tristezza, la profondità, l’ironia dei “The Doors come band” non dei The Doors come “gruppo di Jim Morrison” dove Jim era la punta di diamante che ha saputo brillare e diventare prezioso grazie a Ray, John e Robby. Vogliamo emozionare chi ascolta, trasportare l’ascoltatore in quell’epoca, nella magia che i Doors hanno saputo creare. Non i The Doors del clamore ma i The Doors della poesia, dell’arte, della sperimentazione. Non imitarli ma ringraziarli.
