First Complete Build & First Ride – It’s Finally a Bike EP.12

The first complete bike is finally built. After months of development, machining and preparation, this is the first time our new frame stands on its own wheels. No show build, no final spec — we stripped another bike just to get it rolling and collect real impressions. Assembly went surprisingly smooth. The frame alignment is extremely straight — verified with a laser check from head tube to rear end. Bearing seats are clean and precise, and the overall build process felt closer to a production frame than a prototype. During assembly we also refined the cable routing, now entering below the shock mount for a cleaner and more direct setup. And of course — we rode it. Already in the first session we pushed it with 3–4 meter drops into compression. The confidence was there immediately. No strange noises, no unwanted flex, just a solid and composed ride feel. This is not the final version. Not the final build. But it’s the beginning of real-world testing. In the next episodes we’ll prepare a second frame for structured laboratory testing at EFBE, combining real trail feedback with standardized load testing. This is where theory becomes reality.
