This was performed as my encore after playing my first full Violin Concerto with the ‪@themodestorchestra‬. (I played the Barber Violin Concerto.) I performed Breath of the Wild's Main Theme and Ballad of the Champions December 14th 2024 Originally on WiiU and Nintendo Switch Composed by Manaka Kataoka and Yasuaki Iwata Arranged by PitTan Violin: PitTan Piano: Helaine Liew @helaineeee PitSupport? ► PATREON:   / pittan   ------------------------- When I was asked to perform a violin concerto with the Modést Orchestra, I immediately knew that I'd do a video game track for my encore before I knew which concerto I'd play HAHA. I thought it was a great opporunity to bring VGM to a concert stage and help provide a new gateway to those that never knew or thought of listening to video game music. Also, my family and friends would think I'm NUTS for not playing a VGM track for my encore. Literally Pani (Modést conductor and friend) asked me "SO WHAT VGM ENCORE ARE YOU GOING TO PLAY?". I kept it a secret with Helaine until I performed it live hehe. Although, it took me a while to figure out which VGM track I wanted to do. For a while, I thought I would do The Legend of Zelda Main Theme for Solo Violin in a Bach style, but my ideas were very weak with that idea. I knew Helaine Liew would be playing piano for the Barber Violin Concerto so I was thought, WHY NOT GET HER TO PLAY WITH ME 💙 I picked the BOTW Main Theme because it is from one of my favourite franchises and it was most likely the track that helped kickstart my VGM violin recording career. I only had the idea of attaching "Ballad of the Champions" literally a month before the concert as I was randomly humming it on my Europe Trips and had the most big brain moment. I literally thought "why not also add this melody into the arrangement?" It's such a gorgeous melody and I envisioned to have my 'solo violin' moment with it. Performing this at the Verbrugghen Hall to a big audience was an absolute dream. Performing with Helaine felt very natural and everyone complimented how we connected so effortlessly. Thank you Helaine for sharing my encore moment with me 💙 I'm so glad I took the opporunity to play a VGM track as my encore as it truly defines me and why I play continue to play and share my music.
