District 308 B1 Beach & Reef Conservation 2025 (4th Oct) Over 150 Lions gathered at Redang Island for the District 308 B1 Beach & Reef Conservation project, held in conjunction with the 2nd Cabinet Meeting. The event aimed to protect and restore our marine environment through beach cleanup and coral planting activities at the Redang Marine Park. And also released 150 baby turtles into the ocean supporting marine life. A dedicated underwater team comprising 32 divers, 6 dive masters, and 2 officers from Jabatan Laut successfully planted 5 coral racks at a depth of 12 meters, spending about an hour underwater to restore coral habitats and enhance marine biodiversity. This meaningful collaboration reflects the Lions’ commitment to environmental sustainability and marine conservation — turning service into lasting impact beneath and above the sea. Thanks to Lion Jeffrey Koh from Leisure Scuba for sponsoring one boat and all the dive equipment for the participants. Not forgetting 38 Lions Clubs participated in this ever largest Lion environmental project and all the dive masters ensuring our safety. International District 308B1 Malaysia
