A&Z #907 - Randy Santel "Atlas" vs the Fiery Crab Louisiana Seafood Boil House Platter Challenge at Fiery Crab off Siegen Lane in Baton Rouge, Louisiana!! After my embarrassing loss versus the giant "Big Boy" Vietnamese Banh Mi Sandwiches Challenge at Banh Mi Boys in Metairie, Louisiana, I traveled back to Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I was the first person to attempt and help kick off the new Louisiana Seafood House Platter Challenge at the Siegen Lane location of Fiery Crab. There are two Fiery crab locations in Baton Rouge, LA, and there are 13 in the state of Louisiana. I had 1 hour to feast on Fiery Crab's "Seafood House Platter" covered with their signature "Fiery Special" sauce, plus a healthy side salad, 12 charbroiled oysters with buttered toast, and 2 amazingly delicious crab cakes. I was trying to become the first person to win my meal free, a sweet Fiery Crab t-shirt, and a spot on the Siegen Lane location's Wall of Fame. I attempted this Seafood House Platter Challenge at the Siegen Lane location in Baton Rouge, LA. They have a Seafood House Platter on their menu, meant to serve a family or group of 3-4 people. It has 2 lobster tails, 1lb of headless shrimp, 1 cluster of Dungeness Crab Legs, 1lb of Snow Crab Legs, 8 boiled potatoes, 1lb of tasty andouille sausage, 4 pieces of corn on the cob, and 4 hard boiled eggs. When in season, 1lb of crawfish is included. I did this out of season, so got 1lb of peel and eat shrimp. Fiery Crab is known for their signature "Fiery Special" sauce, and you can get it mild, hot, or extra hot, depending on your level of spice preference. My challenge also came with a healthy side salad, small order of hush puppies, 2 amazing crab cakes served with an incredible tasting sauce, and 12 (1 dozen) charbroiled oysters covered with a parmesan garlic butter sauce, served with toasted bread. There is a 1 hour time limit to enjoy/finish this delicious Louisiana seafood boil feast. Winners get the $88 seafood meal free, a sweet Fiery Crab t-shirt, and spot on the Wall of Fame!!
