Opeth Style Death Metal

I originally wrote this about a year ago when I was listening to a fair bit of Opeth and I fancied writing something in that sort of style. I don't know if I succeeded in sounding like Opeth but I think it sounds at least in the same ballpark and I'm fairly happy with how it turned out overall. I used Invasion for the drums here and it's the first time in a long time I've tried mixing them from scratch and although they could be better, I think they sound fairly good overall. Lastly, As I don't have a good way to record the acoustic while filming, those parts are just mimed for the sake of the video. I'm not thrilled with the sound of the acoustic here though, I think it sounds decent-ish but the strings were about 3 years old when I recorded it(with an sm58 balanced on a chair haha) so I had to fight with the intonation a bit and just did my best with processing. It's not terrible but probably the thing I'm least happy with here. Anyway, enough rambling, I hope you enjoy this track and as usual, thank you for watching jjrrecording
