Saifee Burhani Upliftment Trust has undertaken the Upliftment project in order to uplift the environs of Bhendi Bazaar in South Mumbai, India; in order to enable its residents to have spacious homes and to provide business with the necessary infrastructure to prosper and one that promotes sustainable living. A true renewal of one’s space and spirit. The Project crossed a significant milestone in the last 2 weeks. We’re happy to share that the residential and commercial tenants of Sector 6A in all conveyed buildings have been vacated. This has enabled the process of 23 buildings to be demolished. This major milestone would not have been possible without the co-operation, support, and understanding of the tenants in handing over the possession of their premises. We thank all our residential and commercial tenants for their support and co-operations shown over the years to us. The tenants are important stakeholders of this Upliftment Project. We do understand and fully realize the difficulties during transiting, for which SBUT is striving hard to make sure this process is as smooth as possible and most importantly tenants return to the permanent ownership spaces at the earliest possible. We value the cooperation of all our tenants who have vacated, and humbly request the tenants that are continuing to stay in dilapidated and dangerous buildings; thereby by continuing to endanger the lives of their families and those surrounding them, to vacate at the earliest, thereby significantly helping us in getting them back to their own permanent spacious homes and business on an ownership basis.
