On this session we are going to show you how to install oracle database 19c on windows. First step is open your browser and type on search oracle database download. To do that press windows key on your keyboard and type system and select system information, this window provide you all information about the installed windows version on your machine. Click on the download button and type your oracle username and password. In case you haven't username and password click create account and fill the registration form. Login to Oracle then click download. After your download is completed, extract the file, by drag and drop it to you c driver. Run the setup.exe file. Now your database has been installed. and you are ready to make your first connection to the your database. step 9: You need a tool to connect to database and for that we can user the default tool which is SQLPLUS. To login using SQLPLUS, press window button and type SQLPLUS and press enter it will open the SQLPLUS window and here you can type your username and password. When you open SQLPLUS from server or your Machin where oracle is installed, oracle will consider you as the database administrator, you can login without even type the password. Type sys / as sysdba , if you need to change the password just type this command: alter user sys identified by your password abc; if you need to login using other tools like SqlDeveloper,or TOAD again you have to go to your browser and search for oracle SqlDeveloper download. This one is not requiring installation like the installation of the database. Just open the sqldeveloper.exe the add the connection. Step 10: click add new connection then, add on the top name of your connection, you can type whatever you need, then select the connection type as TNS then type in connection identifier database name In our case the name is ORCL. Type the username sys and the password and chose the option as SYSDBA. Click test to see if it will accept the connection, then press save to avoid repeating this typing again.
