Let's Photograph The Flaming Star Nebula With A DSLR

IC-405: The Flaming Star Nebulae. This target lies in the constellation of Auriga. It's a wonderful nebulous cloud both form an emission, and reflection type nebulae surrounding the star AE Auriga. It lies about 1500 light years from Earth. This is my first time shooting a brand new target. I would love to shoot this in Ha sometime. I was running 5 minute subs at ISO1600. It was always in the back of my mind that this would probably cause a lot of noise; and it did. Whilst some of it was treated with dark frames and post processing, the final image was a lot noisier than I would've liked. Next time I think I shall try 3 minutes at ISO800, or 5 minutes at ISO 400/800 perhaps. It's all a learning curve!
