Today we're planting the first spring containers of the year! We're planting pansies, primroses, and violas in a long container on my porch. I used hellebores, lettuce, and frizzle sizzle pansies in the large containers flanking our doorway and added pussy willow branches to each pot. I've been forcing forsythia branches to bloom early inside and decided to add them to the spring porch display. I finished by planting pansies on top of lily pots that will bloom in late June.
