Rondo Allegro grazioso Romance for Viola and Piano (2012) Peter Thompson (1955 - ) Molto moderato e flessibile French violist Cynthia Blanchon divides her time between North America and Europe, dedicating herself to various artistic endeavors. Since 2023, Cynthia has been a viola professor at Université de Montréal and is an active chamber musician as a member of the Myriade Quartet. In the coming months, she will be teaching and performing at Orford Music or on tour with Collectif 9. She is also organizing the next International Viola Congress in 2026 which will happen in Paris, as part of the French Viola Society. She is also part of the French Viola Society which will be organizing the next International Viola Congress in 2026 in Paris. Eager to discover forgotten repertoire, she is recording the Prout and the Thompson works, which previously have not been recorded. The Arts & Letters Club is pleased to support this endeavour. Felix Hong captured Grand Prize at the prestigious Concours Prix d’Europe in 2017, as well as the Prix Jean Marchand for the best collaborative pianist in 2022. Nominated in CBC's 30 hot Canadian classical musicians under 30, and noted as one of the rising star artists in La Scena Musicale Magazine, he has been performing solo and chamber music recitals extensively. Born in Taiwan, Felix studied with Ilya Poletaev at the Schulich School of Music and completed his B. Mus in addition to an Artist Diploma, there. He completed his post-graduate studies at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, England, under the guidance of Ronan O'Hora and Joan Havill. Recent performances have included Mozart’s Piano Concerto #9 in E flat major, K.271, at the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, Taipei, and piano trio performances at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler, Berlin. Besides his musical activities, Felix is also an associate of the Society of Actuaries.
