This is incredibly good news! It was a bit strange this morning. Absolutely not like the first time I observed it. I couldn't place it. Now I'm incredibly relieved. I hope everything's okay with the eggshell. She obviously wants to breed The golden eagle nest camera is situated in Soomaa National Park in Southwestern Estonia. The same nest has been followed with a camera since 2020. The male is named Kalju and the female Helju. One chick fledged in 2024. In 2025 first egg was laid on March 17. 2020 season 1st egg - March 11, 2nd egg - March 15 1st chick hatched - April 21, 2nd chick - exact hatching date unknown (died probably because of food deprivation) 1st chick was ringed on May 29 and fledged on July 3 2021 season 1st egg - March 21. Egg was broken by the female on April 5th. 2022 season 1st egg - March 15, 2nd egg - March 19 1st chick hatch - April 25; 2nd chick hatch - April 27 (dies on May 11) Chick, named Margit, was ringed on May 22 and fledged on July 9 2023 season There were no eggs. Spring behaviour suggested a new nest, but this was not proven. 2024 season 1st egg - March 15, 2nd egg - March 19 (didn't hatch) 1st chick hatch - April 26 Chick, named Diana, was ringed on June 10 and fledged on July 16 2025 season 1st egg - March 17
