🎥 Road Trip from Aritar to Padamchen via Rongli and Lingtam – East Sikkim Travel Vlog Our journey starts early in the morning from Aritar, a quiet mountain village in East Sikkim famous for the beautiful Lampokhari Lake. The road from Aritar to Padamchen is about 25–30 kilometers and takes roughly 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on road and weather conditions. The route passes through some of the most picturesque stretches of the old Silk Route. The drive begins with a gentle downhill road from Aritar surrounded by thick pine forests and scattered villages. About 8–10 kilometers down the route, we reach Rongli, one of the main towns in East Sikkim and the entry point to the restricted Silk Route zone. Here, travelers need to get their Restricted Area Permit (RAP) checked before continuing uphill. Rongli is also known for its vibrant Rongli Bazaar, a small but bustling market where locals from nearby villages come to shop and trade. The market is filled with colorful stalls selling fresh produce, woolen clothes, and local snacks — a great place to take a short break, grab a cup of hot tea, and soak in the local vibe before continuing the journey. A few kilometers after Rongli, the road winds upwards through scenic forests towards Lingtam, another peaceful village known for its calm surroundings and the first Army check post on the Silk Route. From here, the air becomes cooler, and you can feel the altitude slowly increasing. The landscape also begins to change — the dense greenery opens up to misty valleys and views of distant mountain slopes. Just before reaching Padamchen, one of the highlights along this route is the Que Khola Waterfalls (also known as Kuikhola Falls), a stunning natural cascade right beside the road. The waterfall is a perfect pit stop — the sound of rushing water, the fresh mountain breeze, and the photo opportunities make it a must-visit spot on the way. Finally, after another short uphill stretch, we reach Padamchen, a beautiful hillside village wrapped in clouds. It’s known for its cozy homestays, warm hospitality, and spectacular sunrise views over the Himalayan ranges. The altitude here is around 7,000 feet, and the temperature drops noticeably, so carrying warm clothes is a good idea. 🛣️ Travel Tips: Distance: ~25–30 km (Aritar → Padamchen) Travel time: 1.5–2 hours (depending on stops) Permit: Required, obtainable at Rongli Check Post Best time to visit: March–June and October–December Attractions en route: Rongli Bazaar, Quekhola Waterfalls, Lingtam village. 🔊 About This Track: 1 🎵Song: Warriyo, Zeus X Crona, Panther - Mortals (Hindi) 🎹Music provided by NoCopyrightSounds Free Download/Stream: http://ncs.io/MortalsHindi Watch: http://ncs.lnk.to/MortalsHindiAT/youtube 🔊 About This Track: 2 🎵 Title: Push Thru 🎹 Artist: The Grey Rooms (Golden Palms) 🎬 Genre: Science Fiction / Cinematic / Ambient 📜 License: Free to use (No Copyright – No Attribution Required) 🌍 Welcome to Travel Like Amit!
