British artist Shannon Bono draws on scientific foundations to inform compelling tributes to Black womanhood, defying colonial histories at every turn. A Reflection of You is the result of close collaboration between Bono and a print studio in London to reimagine a pre-existing painting — layering the original green palette with luxurious gold tones, and seeing each work hand-finished by the artist with a series of details in 3D pearlescent cream.
