Today I am using all that left over Christmas cheese that's sat in my fridge to make one of the most old school and also deadly river fishing baits for Chub - Cheese paste. Now to start this off I will say this is a beginners step by step guide and I also know it's not hard to make but as a kid starting out I had to read the angling times to find a recipe or how to guide so if you have never made it before or keen to see how I do it then this is for you, if you're a 30 year river fishing veteran then there's probably nothing to learn here. Key point is the smellier the cheese the better. Personally I threw in all the spare cheese that we had regardless as it was only going to get wasted otherwise and th extra oil fat and scent can't and won't do the bait any harm.
