“ Simha” – Facets and dimensions that make the narrative of  the most powerful avatar of Maha Vishnu  - Shri Narasimha . This is a Chennai Premier   Accompanied   by – Shri Koushik Champakesan  on Vocal Shri Satish Krishnamoorthy on Mridangam Shri Vijay Kumar Nattuvangam Shri Melakaveri K Thiagarajan  on Violin Costume Design – Sandhya Raman Text Sources - Periyazvar Tirumozhi , Shri Narayaneeyam , Dr S Raghuraman and Vaasantika Parinayam . Concept and Choreography - Sujatha Ramanathan The Invocation – Alarippu followed by periyāzvār tirumōzi followed by "Prahlada Varada Narasimha " Verses from Shri Narayaneeyam followed by a composition which gives the context to Prahlada s birth and his struggles that his own demon father put him through . How he overcomes these and then concludes with the Narasimha Avatara . This is followed by an interessting episode that happens right after that . A unique potrayal of Shri Narasimha in Sringara Bhava from the Vasanthika Parinayam .. What follows is yet another unique episode that took place in Ahobilam and concludes with the "Nava Narasimha" . This is a new composition written by Dr S Raghuraman , music composition by Shri Rohit Bhatt . Smt. Sujatha Ramanathan is a versatile Bharatanatyam artiste ,choreographer and mentor . Her foundation rests upon rigorous training under esteemed Gurus - Padmashri Guru Adayar K. Lakshman, Guru Lata Raman, and Guru Ramya Ramnarayan, further enriched by specialized study in "abhinaya" with Guru G. Venu and Mohiniattam from Dr. Nirmala Paniker , Natyashastra and Karanas from Dr Sujatha Mohan (disciple of Padma Bhushan Dr Padma Subramanyam) She has performed widely in India in prestigious festivals and events including the chennai december season concerts, in Nepal and San francisco . Her choreographies "Raas Antara," "Rama Amritam," "Vidivu," "Hanumanin Thavam," "Dakshina Dwaraka," "Soorya," , "Beeja - The Seed " , " Simha" are appreciated for nuanced musicality , abhinaya and compelling narrative. Sujatha continuously refines her practice and explores new artistic avenues. Her academic credentials, including a Master's in Bharatanatyam and a Bachelor's in Music from Annamalai University, coupled with her status as a graded artiste of Doordarshan. Her research paper “ Life Skills and leadership through dance” was selected by the Sangeet Natak Academy and published . She also conducts workshops including “Movement and Expression “ for dancers and non dancers . Some of her awards - "Nritya Kala Choodamani," the "Bharat Gaurav Samman" presented by the Indian Ambassador in Nepal, "Nritya Nipun," and the "Girnar Ratna."
