This customer needed a concrete sidewalk removed, chain link fence, and brush within the fence removed. Once all of that was cleared, I started excavating the soil for the new concrete patio and sidewalk. Now, I don't install concrete, but I can certainly get a site prepared for it! The mini skid steer was perfect for this backyard to complete this job. It has the power to excavate dirt and move material efficiently. I use several mini skid steer attachments in this video. The Wicked Root Grapple, Toro Land Plane, Blue Diamond Stump bucket, Bradco 48" bucket. Once the ground was excavated, I spread #53 crushed limestone with dust for the base stone. This will be compacted by the concrete crew doing the concrete work. If you are a concrete crew that only wants to do the concrete work definitely give me a call and we can work together. I'll do the digging, you bring the mud! This is a great service to any homeowner that is a Do It Yourselfer. A lot of people are tackling their own paver projects, but excavation is typically more than they want to tackle. By the time you rent the mini skid steer, rent a dumpster or truck to haul the dirt and learn to use the mini your money ahead to hire a pro. I do this every day and proficient on this machine. Let me get the bulk of the headache work out of the way and then you can do the finesse work of laying pavers. Everyone likes to see a job well done! But, leave the back breaking portion to Schott Services! Impress your friends and neighbors by installing the pavers yourself. You can tell them you did it all yourself. Just give them my name when they decide to install concrete or pavers at their house! Unfortunately this video will seem incomplete. I damaged my camera and the SD card a few weeks later when I came back to finish grade, seed and straw around the new concrete!
