Third edition of the TrainSimulations' 50-52 foot boxcar collection. In Feb 2026, total count now is 275 cars, no 40 footers or 60 footers in this video. These were collected from various Open Rails-grade routes and equipment packs. Any MSTS-grade content retained and repurposed was textures-only, converted to .dds, and mated to upgraded shape files where available. Some skins were from free add-on texture packs made available by RRDiesel87, some were my own repaints and mods. More boxcars no doubt will arrive in the future via additional routes and equipment packs. Would like to see some CNW and IC cars, a Berlin Mills car in that aqua-green color, the blue/white split DHNY cars. But beyond that, probably time to focus on other car types like some new longer gons, more clay slurry tanker schemes, some sulphuric acid cars, and some more double stack schemes (NYSW Sea-Land, BN 'innovative intermodal service' green-painted 5 packs, Maersk blue, etc, and more bare-deck flat cars without pre-defined loads. This close-to-300 count is more than enough that other sourced boxcars can be retired.
