After Sept 2020 as per 28th GST Council Meeting recommendation to delink the original invoice from CN/DN which open a window of loophole of excess ITC claim despite the lower amount of invoice as discussed in video. Solution - A filter can be added on the portal so that for a single GSTIN, the total value of Credit Notes (CN) accepted should not exceed the total value of invoices issued to that same GSTIN. Instead of invoice-level linking, GSTIN-level linking can be implemented.
