Gaiares is BACK!! Defunct Games digs into the news that Retro-Bit Publishing will be releasing a reproduction Genesis cartridge of the single best 16-bit shoot 'em up of all time. We'll also be diving into what the critics said and why this early '90s masterpiece still holds up, as well as the infamous marketing campaign that featured a mullet-clad Jamie Bunker. Retro-Bit's Gaiares release will come with an embellished slipcover, a reversible cartridge sleeve, translucent tektite cartridge, full-color instruction manual, certificate of authenticity and an exclusive interview with "pro-gamer" Jamie Bunker.
