Back to work for 2026. I’ve been back training for a little while now after recovering from the Valencia Marathon, building into 2026 at home in Adelaide. This time around, I’ve chosen warm weather, familiar routines, and the training group at home over heading up to altitude. I’m back doing sessions with RunAsOne, leaning on the group to help reset my rhythm, stay accountable, and rebuild momentum. There’s nothing like training with people who lift the standard and keep you honest. A big focus right now is strength. After two years on the same maintenance gym program, I’ve finally switched things up and started working with a new strength coach at SASI (South Australian Sports Institute). In this video, we go through full force plate strength testing to establish proper baselines and identify areas to improve. We break down the five strength tests, talk honestly about my ongoing hamstring issues, and how I’m using a combination of strength work, physio, massage, Pilates, and mobility to stay healthy and moving well. I also share what’s coming next: Marugame Half Marathon – February 1st (where I broke the Australian record last year) Boston Marathon – April 20th, my first World Major Marathon 🎥 Footage by Oli Callahan and Kha Dinh 🎬 Edited by Kha Dinh 📲 Follow along on Instagram: @izzibattdoyle
