Building the World’s First AWD Tube-Chassis El Camino | Custom Cooling Fab Gets Real

I am building a custom cooling setup for the world’s first AWD tube-chassis ’59 El Camino — and man, the aluminum fought back hard. This is more than just a build — it’s a complete reimagining. What started as a vintage relic is now becoming the world’s first AWD tube-chassis 1959 El Camino. In this episode, I tackle one of the most critical systems: cooling. I designed and plasma-cut a full set of custom mounts for the ProForm radiator and built a hand-formed aluminum NACA duct to feed it airflow. This was one of the most fun episodes I got to film so far. It was a transformation that started to show how this old rig will start to look like as we move forward.
