In this video, I'm continuing our design series, guiding you through LED lighting and lens design. As we explored in our previous video explanations, using lenses is essential for fine-tuning LED light focus. Today, I'm excited to guide you through the lens design process itself. We'll be looking closely at important things to think about when choosing the right lens. This includes nailing down aspects like beam angles, the optimal distance (known as the canonical distance), deciding whether to incorporate a reflector, understanding light dispersion, and choosing the right lens material. For instance, the lens material needs to be transparent to match the LED light's wavelength. And that's not all – towards the end of the video, I'll reveal a specially designed holder. This holder is like a puzzle piece that ensures the LED and lens fit perfectly onto a stand, keeping everything secure and steady. In this video you will see these parts: 0:00 - Start 0:11 - Casing 1:50 - LED Electrodes Cutout 3:15 - Fillet the edges 3:30 - Lens 5:19 - Appearances and materials 5:52 - Final look 6:13 - Holder 7:51 - Fillet the corners 8:09 - Appearance and material – Final look
