Game Info --------------------------------------------------- Developer: Taito Publisher: Taito Year of Release: 1992 Game Review & Impressions --------------------------------------------------- Infuse Final Fight with some F-Zero style hover board action and set it in a post-apocalyptic cityscape, and you have Riding Fight. Taito leveraged their super scaling graphics knowhow for this release, and while its definitely a looker, the game itself feels rather lacklustre. For all its fancy sprite scaling, the combat just feels hollow. Punching enemies doesn't feel particularly satisfying, and the collision detection sometimes seems inconsistent. The boss fights are fairly involved and are the mainstay of the experience, but even then, I found I was getting bored quite quickly. Maybe it's just me, but I prefer a more traditional beat 'em up - Riding Fight certainly looks exciting, but this just left me a little bit cold.
