“Eslvideo.com” is a website which allows you to create web-based interactive quizzes which are answered in a multiple choice fashion, getting the information from a video that is posted next to the quiz. The quizzes can be created by teachers and students, and are free. Since they are web-based, the quizzes can be done at school or even at home. ESL video is a good thinking generator since you can make students watch a short video clip and then write questions about it; for this, critical thinking is of the essence. This site enables teachers to create motivating tasks for learners that exploit online video and motivates students to explore the web a bit more to find the video they need. One of the best aspects of this site is that it creates the possibility of setting the same activity as a classroom task or as homework. I find this site useful because it can help students to improve many skills at the same time. For example, students better their listening skills since they have to watch a video and listen to something in order to solve the quiz.
